Daepo Village also famous for gizzard shad boasts cool southeasterly winds. On the coast, there is a large boulder that is submerged in the high tides and reemerges in the low tides. This boulder is called Hanyeo which also used to be the name of the village until it was changed to Daepo. As in the Moses’ miracle, during the low tides, the boulder is seen connected to the land. Small octopus, clams, manila clams, oyster, and mud shripms are produced here. It is sits right in the heart of the magnificent views of Changseon·Samcheonpo Bridge and the seas.
