Along the ridges of this mountain stands Mt. Gaksan Fort, a 242m long stone fort. This fort stands 76 ri from south Jinju. This fort was used during the battle of Sambyeolchoran in Goryeo era and the residents relied on this fort to fend off the Japanese invaders.
