거북선 최초 출전지 사천에서 느끼는 충무공 이순신의 발자취.. 1592년 임진왜란 당시 이순신 장군이 선진 앞바다에서 최초로 거북선을 출전시켜 왜선 13척을 침몰시키고 승전한 사천해전을 테마로 60km의 바닷길을 걸을 수 있는 도보 여행길이다.

Daegok Forest

The very beginning point of Sacheon hope road is Daegok Forest

Daegok Forest is a pine forest that won the most beautiful forest award by Korea Forest Service and “Forest for Life”. This forest that was formed 200 years ago for prosperity and happiness of the village based on Fengshui principles.

Sucheonggyo hiking road

Walking past Daegok Forest, you can see Sucheonggyo (bridge) in front of a little stream, with beautiful scenery of the village and trees coexisting in harmony.

Sacheongyo (bridge)

Walking along the stream, you can see Sacheongyo that lies across Sacheon stream. The walkway was constructed closer to the stream than from Sacheongyo. The the beginning of bicycle road has been marked with a sign.

Coastline industrial road

We have reached the coastline industrial road lying adjacent to the sea. Around Daegok Forest, the beginning forest, we could enjoy the beautiful scenery, but the city of Sacheon lacked in natural scenery. If we continue to walk we can arrive at the shore where the refreshing sea breeze greets us.

Seonjinri-seong (fort)

The smell of grass and green trees refresh you.

This area is Seonjinri-seong (fort) known for its beauty in the springtime. Even if it’s not spring, you could always come here to enjoy the wide expanses of green grass.
